LIN BRANSON

Meet Lin, the unsuspecting and self-oriented son of Franklin Branson, CEO of Branson Industries. As heir to one of the greatest engineering empires of the 21st century, Lin has conditioned himself to believe success is based on financial prowess and social dominance. However, his "perfect" life is about to go bizarrely awry.
When Lin accidentally overhears a sinister plot, he becomes a target to men with powers far beyond his comprehension. It isn't until Lin encounters Alastar Albright that he discovers the Aurora Order, a corps of magicians dedicated to preserving the balance between the human and fairy worlds. Believing that becoming a magician will lead him to legendary status and glory, Lin accepts the invitation to become a magician. Yet, he learns to his dismay that magic is not kind to those who only serve themselves. If he is to save his friends, his family, and his world, Lin will need to set aside his pride and his ego and rise up.
And neither he, or anyone else, understands the incredible destiny which awaits him.

She succeeds until a strange woman visits her at work and warns her that danger is coming. Soon enough, June grows aware of strangers watching her, observing her every movement. The danger grows until the only family she has left, Suzanne, is taken from her. Desperate to find and rescue her little sister, June encounters the Aurora Order and begs them to help her. The magicians welcome her in gladly, and it seems like she has finally found a place where someone of her abilities can belong.
But June is no ordinary magician. The universe has been waiting for her for eons, and her destiny is both incredible and terrifying. Will she succeed, or will her enemies—or her fear—crush her?

Meet Alastar, a master magician in the Aurora Order with a plethora of quirks and a heart of pure gold. For over a century, Alastar has been dedicated to helping his friends in the Order deal with threats on both sides of the Shroud, the dimensional barrier between human and fairy worlds. Alastar sees the best in everyone, and believes in treating all people as his family.
Despite challenges and horrors that have occurred in his past, Alastar remains optimistic and trusting. He agrees to take Lin Branson on as his apprentice, believing in the potential that Lin has as a magician. Even with his quirks, Alastar sees things differently than most men. Experiences in the past have led him to believe that there is a greater threat to the worlds than anything the Aurora Order could imagine. Some label his concerns as trivial, but Alastar will be the first to learn the terrifying truth of their real enemy: the Lord of Shadows.
Alastar has many reasons to despise the worlds that are often unkind to him...yet he may be the only hope they have left.
The Worlds
The Aurora Order trilogy takes place between two dimensions: Earth (the human world) and Gaeisha (the fairy world). Both dimensions share the same geography and the same history up to a certain point in time.
Humans and fairfolk once shared a beautiful coexistence. The humans' talent of technology and the fairies' talent of enchantment allowed both species to create incredible civilizations like Mesopotamia, Egypt, Atlantis, Greece, and Rome. But during an event known as the Fall of Unity, humans and fairfolk became bitter enemies and engaged in serious warfare. To prevent both species from destroying each other, the Gods separated them into two different dimensions on the same planet. This dimensional barrier between worlds is known as "the Shroud". Over time, fairies became mere fantasy to humans, and humans became only legend to the fairfolk. The worlds would have been separated forever, but the Gods of Avalon revealed the truth of the Shroud to a young man named Merlin. With the knowledge of magic, Merlin founded the Aurora Order, a corps of magicians dedicated to protecting the worlds and guiding them toward eventual reunion. For centuries, the Aurora Order has performed this sacred duty, but now they will face their greatest challenge yet: the Lord of Shadows.
